An event of this magnitude, one that involves prominent invited speakers from
literally the four corners of the world, requires money. It has been our
intent to present this symposium at a reasonable price for those attending,
including local students of Prof. Geil. We have therefore sought sponsorships
from both corporations who supply materials and equipment to those conducting
polymer physics research and also individuals who might wish to express their
appreciation for the experience of working with Prof. Geil, either as a
one-time student or as a professional colleague.
While any contribution, no matter how small will certainly be appreciated,
we do want to recognize those who have been willing to be financial sponsors
of the symposium. We are especially appreciative of those who have made
private contributions, since we know these are their own funds, not someone else's
funds and to those we wish to give a very special "thank you".
